Store description excerpt
NetOS turns your iPhone into a network command center wrapped in an unapologetically retro, 80s-console interface: black screen, green phosphor glow, radar sweeps, and a live terminal log narrating every action. Underneath the aesthetic is a genuinely capable set of network tools for exploring, mapping, and troubleshooting your own local network. Whether you run a home-lab, manage the home network, or are just curious what's actually connected to your WiFi, NetOS gives you the visibility. Every byte of it stays on your device. Privacy matters. # NETWORK & DEVICE DISCOVERY Scan your local network and see every device connected to it. NetOS runs a fast LAN sweep across your subnet, finding active hosts by IP, resolving hostnames, and identifying each device by vendor and type. It's a proper network scanner and IP scanner for home or office. Ideal for building a device inventory, spotting an unknown gadget, or troubleshooting a connection. Every scan is saved per network, so you can compare what's online over time. # WIFI CONNECTION See and log the WiFi network you're on (SSID and BSSID), with saved networks stored securely in the iOS Keychain, your current connection clearly marked, and a tidy history of the networks you join. # BLUETOOTH DISCOVERY The BT tab is a full Bluetooth LE scanner. NetOS discovers nearby Bluetooth devices in real time (reading advertised names, signal strength, and service data) then identifies each one by manufacturer and device type using company IDs, service UUIDs, and OUI lookups. A handy bluetooth scanner for beacons, wearables, headphones, and other BLE gear nearby, with every session saved. # PORT SCANNER Dig into any device with the built-in port scanner. Run a quick scan of common ports or define your own custom range, save reusable port collections, and see exactly which services are listening. NetOS separates open, closed, and silent ports and infers the likely service behind each one. Useful for checking a NAS, a dev server, a printer, or any host on your LAN. # REST REQUESTS NetOS ships with a Postman-style REST client for testing APIs and endpoints on the go. Send GET, POST, and other requests with custom headers, query params, and JSON or form bodies, manage a cookie jar, browse full request history, and export any call as cURL. It auto-fills targets from devices you've discovered and even learns which ports are open from real responses. A real REST client in your pocket. # NETWORK MAP & MESH The MESH tab draws your whole setup as a living network map: each network a hub, its devices orbiting on glowing spider-web spokes, open ports shown inline, and Bluetooth capabilities linked to the host. Geolocated networks are spaced by real distance, and a native map view plots every located device and access point. Flip to a clean list view whenever you prefer. # PRIVATE BY DESIGN Privacy isn't an afterthought here. It's the point. NetOS is fully offline: every network, device, and request you log
