Store description excerpt
HOP FORWARD. THE GROUND BEHIND YOU IS ALREADY GONE. A crossing road game rebuilt in neon, with one addition the classics never had: the ground you came from is being eaten. Lanes of traffic run in alternating directions, stacked away from you into the dark. You bank score by landing on the far side of a lane — and only by that. Standing still pays nothing, ever, and standing still is also how the run ends. THE SURGE IS THE CLOCK • It starts moving a couple of seconds in and it never stops. • Hesitate and it comes FASTER. Every second you spend not banking a lane speeds it up. • Sprint and it does not fall away forever either — it reels you back in on a leash, visibly, so a big lead is something you watch being spent rather than something you keep. • Retreat is a real option for about one hop. Lanes you have already crossed run faster the further behind you they are, so the gap you remember is not the gap that is there. THREADING IT PAYS MORE THAN WAITING • Land in a slot with a block a hair away and you get paid for it. Leave a lane with one bearing down on you and you get paid for that too. • Those payments feed a chain, so a player who cuts it fine measurably outscores one who waits for a motorway-sized gap. • Every ten lanes banked clears a ZONE: a bonus, and the surge stalls for a moment. That is the reward — breathing room, not immunity. THE FIELD IS NOT ALL TRAFFIC Safe lanes exist. They are the only place the game lets you think, they thin out as the run goes on, and you never get two in a row. Rings sit out in the lanes, worth points and coins, and never on the start line — a ring is always something you go and get. Three pickups drop as you go — SHIELD eats one hit and destroys the block that caused it, SLOW-MO halves the traffic, MAGNET drags rings across the lane to you. BLOCKS COME IN FOUR SIZES From a quick short one up to a hauler that takes almost the whole lane and leaves you a single slot. The gaps between them tighten the longer you last, and the traffic speeds up with them. CONTROLS Tap to hop forward. Swipe to go left, right or back — one thumb, and a held drag walks you sideways instead of firing once and going dead. Or switch to tilt in Settings and calibrate it to the way you actually hold your phone. A CROSSING ROAD GAME THAT ACTUALLY WORKS OFFLINE • Fully offline. No account, no sign-in, no internet needed. On a plane, on the subway, in a lift with no signal — it plays the same. • No paywall. Nothing in the game is locked behind a purchase. • No energy meter, no lives timer, no waiting between runs. You die, you go again, immediately. • Your personal top ten scores, kept on your device. • A daily challenge with a streak that pays coins, tracked on your device — no account, no server. WHAT YOU UNLOCK • 272 vector cosmetics across six tabs — hoppers, blocks, backgrounds, scenes, screen modifiers and soundtracks • 20 unlockable chiptune soundtracks, each with a preview before you spend a coin • Coins come from the ri
