Store description excerpt
It is an open source augmentative alternative communication application that uses ARASAAC pictograms. The application, currently only in Italian: 1) tapping on the preview button, displays the images (uploaded by the user or the ARASAAC pictograms) corresponding to the words typed or words spoken after tapping on the listen button. By tapping on the single image, the corresponding word is spoken by the app and, if printing has been enabled, the image is printed. or 2) displays collections of images of words that can be selected to form simple sentences in the form subject, verb, object complement. Along the lines of a search engine by categories, the search for (images of) words takes place via a two-level menu: the first level contains images of the main search categories such as games, food, family, animals; the second level contains the images of the subcategories of the first level for example, the games category contains the subcategories ball, tablet, running, etc. . Once the subcategory has been chosen, the (images of) words contained in the table of word pairs coupled to the chosen subcategory are displayed. Sentences are formed by choosing the (images of) words displayed. Once formed, the sentence is pronounced by the application which then listens. At the end of listening, the application checks the results and, with a margin of error allowed, if there is a match, it loads a video or a simple balloon game as a reward.
