Store description excerpt
Nagi (凪) is total calm in Japanese: the sea at rest, the air without a single current. It's the moment when the wind hasn't left, it's just stopped. This app does the same with whatever's on your mind before you go to sleep. HOW IT WORKS Write down what's worrying you, just as it comes to mind, without ordering it. Two questions categorize it: • If you can do something about it now or first thing tomorrow, Nagi helps you turn it into a single, small, concrete action, linked to a specific time the next day. It's saved as your first task tomorrow. • If it's not up to you, Nagi helps you put it aside: it notes it, assigns it a specific time the next day, and reminds you then. Not tonight. In both cases, you can answer three more questions to lessen the magnitude of the worst that could happen. WHAT IT'S BASED ON Nagi doesn't improvise. Each step is based on published research: • Park your worry — stimulus control, Borkovec et al. (1983) • One action at the right time — implementation intentions, Gollwitzer (1999) • Write down your to-do list before bed — Scullin et al. (2018) • The three questions — decatastrophizing, cognitive therapy by Aaron Beck Within the app, "Why it works" explains each technique with its source. PRIVACY No account, no registration, no server, and no analytics. Everything you write is saved only on your phone, and you can delete it all at any time. WHAT NAGI IS NOT Nagi is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is a short routine for a specific night, not therapy. If what worries you is constant or is really affecting you, talking to a professional is the sensible thing to do — the app always has the 024 Helpline and the Telephone of Hope just a tap away.
