Store description excerpt
If you started learning Korean because of a K-drama you binged or a K-pop song you kept on repeat, this is the vocabulary app built for that. It shows you one word at a time: swipe right if you know it, swipe left if you don't. The words you miss keep coming back until they stick. One thing to know before you install: MuMuVoca assumes you can already read Hangul. It does not teach the alphabet, handwriting, grammar or conversation. It teaches words, and that is the only job it does. Here's what almost no other Korean app gives you: you choose the language the meanings appear in — 14 of them, and 21 in the Korean wordbooks. You read a Korean word in your own language, instead of translating twice through English. If your study is more structured, TOPIK levels 1 to 6 are here as six graded wordbooks, 3,143 words. And if you study another language too, the same swipe deck holds its wordbooks: JLPT with furigana, HSK with pinyin, TOEIC, TOEFL, IELTS, DELE, DELF, Goethe, Hanja and more. 97 wordbooks, 53,340 words, 13 languages. MuMuVoca keeps you on the words you actually need. ■ Swipe right if you know it, left if you don't Recognize the meaning instantly? Swipe right. The word moves to Memorized and stops coming back. Not sure? Swipe left. The word goes to Difficult and earns a star. The more stars, the harder that word is for you — and MuMuVoca brings those back first. Sort by star count to attack the toughest words first. ■ Reviews timed to how memory fades MuMuVoca spaces your reviews at 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30 days, bringing each word back just as you're about to lose it. Forget one, and it comes back sooner. ■ Check yourself with a quiz A word appears with a meaning attached — swipe to say whether they match, or pick the meaning from 4 choices. Recognizing a word is not the same as recalling it. Miss one and you see the correct answer right away. ■ Example sentences and study stats Cards in nine of the Korean wordbooks carry a short example sentence on the back, a cue that brings the meaning to mind. In Study stats you see today's, all-time and last-7-day counts, and what you've memorized in each wordbook. ■ A reason to come back tomorrow Your study streak and today's goal sit at the top of the screen, and the goal is yours to set: 10, 20, 30, 50 or 100 words. Hit 30 words and you can watch one ad to study ad-free for an hour. Your study reminder arrives in your time zone, with the number of words due for review. ■ Wordbooks in 13 languages English — TOEIC (by target score: 600/700/800/900), TOEFL (by difficulty), TEPS, IELTS, G-TELP, Korean CSAT (by difficulty), by school grade (middle 1-3, high 1-3), elementary essentials Japanese — JLPT N1-N5 (with hiragana readings), JFT-Basic Daily Life & Work Words Chinese — HSK 1-9 (with pinyin) Spanish — DELE A1-C2, FLEX French — DELF A1-B2 German — Goethe A1-B2 Italian — CILS A1-B2 Russian — TORFL A1-B2 Portuguese — CELPE A1-B2 Vietnamese — A1-B2 Indonesian — A1-B2 Korean, for learn
