The MPFRA (Madhya Pradesh Forest Rights Act) App is a digital platform developed for the effective implementation and monitoring of forest rights in the State of Madhya Pradesh under the Scheduled Tribes and Other Traditional Forest Dwellers (Recognition of Forest Rights) Act, 2006. Through this app, a digital map of the land parcel claimed by the claimant is prepared. The claims received by the FRCV are verified, which may include one or multiple land parcels. If the claimant has prepared a sketch/map, a copy of the same is also displayed in the system for reference.During the verification process, if it is found that the claimant has indicated an incorrect land parcel, a decision may be taken to reject the possession claim. However, if the land parcel is found to be correct, the FRCV visits the site and prepares the map of the land parcel using the mobile app by conducting a traverse survey as per the actual ground position. Similarly, under Community Forest Rights, the FRCV can carry out land parcel mapping through the same app after conducting field verification. The app also enables approval status tracking and ensures transparent, systematic, and effective management of forest rights.
