MotifPilot helps producers get past the blank DAW session with editable MIDI starters built from clear musical controls. Choose a style preset, key, scale, tempo, bar count, density, harmonic detail, humanize, and swing. MotifPilot's local, rule-driven engine builds a four-part MIDI sketch with chords, bass, arp, and melody. Preview the idea, shape the parts, try another variation, then export Standard MIDI files to share or import into a compatible DAW. Built for electronic music producers, songwriter-producers, and mobile producers: - Generate 4, 8, or 16 bar MIDI sketch starters from clear musical controls. - Work in 12 keys across all pitch classes. - Start from seven style presets: pop, house, R&B, cinematic, and three beta Trap directions. - Use Next idea to create another sketch from the same setup. - Replace a selected chord or explore chord and progression suggestions. - Develop melodies with answering phrases, breathing space, and style-specific rhythms alongside coordinated accompaniment. - Preview the same note pitches, timing, velocities, and lengths that MIDI export uses, with style-specific instruments and mix. Sounds in your DAW depend on its instruments. - Focus tracks with mute and solo controls. - Push variations such as simpler, darker, jazzier, more emotional, more sparse, more rhythmic, tension, and resolve. - Edit focused tracks with octave, transpose, quantize, velocity, duration, note movement, add, and delete controls. - Undo and redo edits while exploring. - Select individual notes from an expandable list in the track editor. - Export one combined starter MIDI file, individual MIDI files for active tracks, a plain-text DAW import guide, and a ZIP package through the iOS share sheet. - Keep saved projects and export records in the local Library on this device. - Open saved projects in Studio, export projects again, rename, tag, search, and delete local items. Batch-delete projects or exports, and batch-share exports. - Detect missing export files. Regenerate an export when its linked local project is still saved, or rebuild its ZIP archive when the original package files remain. - Recover unlisted completed exports when their local package files and recovery record remain. Review and confirm cleanup of incomplete exports in Library. - Choose system, light, or dark appearance in Settings. MotifPilot is not a full DAW, audio generator, one-click song maker, giant MIDI pack browser, direct DAW integration service, or AI prompt-to-MIDI service. It is a local-first MIDI sketching tool for creating editable musical starting points that you can import into a compatible DAW.
