MonthLedger is a private, local-first personal finance app for people who want a real ledger—not another subscription or bank-login service. PAY ONCE, KEEP THE WHOLE APP MonthLedger is a one-time paid download (US$0.99 in the U.S. storefront; local prices may vary). There are no subscriptions, in-app purchases, ads, or locked premium features. BUILT AROUND YOUR MONTH • Choose a global reporting start day instead of being forced into calendar months. • Let each credit card use its own statement day, which takes priority for that card’s monthly statistics. • Review income, spending, cash flow, and month-end net worth by the periods that actually matter to you. • Archive reconciled history into compact monthly summaries. Notes and source amounts remain traceable, and archive actions can be undone. FAST, FLEXIBLE ENTRY • Record expenses, income, transfers, refunds, and balance adjustments. • Get category and account suggestions from your recent habits, while keeping every suggestion editable. • Use calculations directly in the amount keypad. • Add notes, grouped tags, and custom two-level categories. • Create scheduled records with the same details as a normal transaction, then auto-post or catch up manually. • Add entries from Home Screen widgets or run the MonthLedger action in Apple Shortcuts, including background entry when all required details are supplied. ACCOUNTS THAT MATCH REAL LIFE • Organize cash, bank, credit-card, liability, and investment accounts into groups—or hide account management with No-Account Mode. • Track credit-card statement days, payment days, and repayment status. • Record cross-account and cross-currency transfers, with editable actual amounts and exchange rates. • Track money borrowed or lent, link opening and repayment flows to real accounts, and follow the outstanding balance. BUDGETS AND INSIGHT • Build budgets across selected accounts and category groups. • Carry both remaining amounts and overspending into the next month automatically. • Explore monthly cash flow, category breakdowns, category and tag trends, and historical month-end net worth. • Search, filter, sort, edit, copy, reconcile, archive, restore, and safely delete transactions. MULTI-CURRENCY, WITHOUT LOSING CONTROL • Keep accounts in different currencies and record a transaction in a currency different from its account. • Use optional daily online reference rates or enter your own rates. • Override estimated cross-currency amounts with the amount that actually arrived. YOUR DATA, YOUR FILES • Import and export CSV for review or migration. • Create and restore complete JSON backups. • Preview imports before writing, choose merge or replace, and use recovery points to undo major data changes.
