MoniRef holds a buyer's payment and releases it only when delivery is confirmed. The seller knows the money is committed before they ship. The buyer knows it is not released until they say so. HOW IT WORKS 1. Seller creates a payment request and shares the link. 2. Buyer pays into MoniRef, not the seller's account. 3. MoniRef holds the funds while the order is fulfilled. 4. Buyer confirms delivery, and a release code is issued. 5. Seller claims the funds and withdraws to their bank. FOR SELLERS Know the money is there before you ship. Create and share a request in a few taps. Track every transaction in one place. FOR BUYERS Your money moves only when you confirm. Pay by transfer to a dedicated account. No account needed to pay a request. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG Either side can raise a dispute. Funds stay held while it is open. Both parties submit evidence and our team reviews it before any decision. VERIFICATION Sellers complete identity verification (KYC) before collecting payments. Paying a request does not require verification. Funds are held with licensed payment partners. MoniRef is not a bank and does not take deposits. PRICING No fee to create a request. No monthly fee. A withdrawal fee applies when you cash out, and reduces as amounts grow. A payment processing charge is added when a buyer pays, and goes to the payment provider rather than to MoniRef. Both are shown before you confirm. DELETING YOUR ACCOUNT Account tab, then Delete account. It takes effect immediately. If you cannot sign in, request it at moniref.com/delete-account. Some records are retained after closure where Nigerian law requires, as set out in our Privacy Policy. ELIGIBILITY Nigeria only. You must be 18 or older. Transactions are in Nigerian Naira.
