Momentum is the official study app of the Diabetes Research Institute in Bad Mergentheim (FIDAM RDC), which allows you to participate in scientific studies. Important: A personal participant code is required for use, which is issued exclusively by the study management team after enrollment. Purpose: Momentum is an app for the Ecological Snapshot (EMA), a modern method we use to better understand well-being and the impact of diabetes in real life. Instead of guessing later how you felt or acted in a particular situation, you answer short questions directly in your everyday life. This creates an honest, more accurate, and scientifically valuable picture of well-being, mood, behavior, and stress – exactly as they occur. Easy participation: Participating with Momentum is very easy. Simply download the app, enter the study code you received from your study team, and get started. You will never be asked for your name or email address. How it works: You'll receive short questions once or twice a day that only take a few seconds to answer – whether you're working, on the go, or relaxing at home. No lengthy questionnaires are required. This makes participation practical, time-saving, and much more convenient than traditional studies. These repeated mini-answers provide unique insights into daily patterns, mood swings, stressful moments, routines, and changes.
