Store description excerpt
Learn kanji with the dictionary open. Modern spaced repetition. MojiMori keeps lookup, component structure, reading attribution, and spaced review in one quiet workspace for the 2,136 Jōyō kanji. Lookup is the start of the lesson: you search a character, and the review is already scheduled. Search by character (水) English meaning (water), or romaji (mizu). Every page is organized around a single glyph — what it means, what it is made of, where its readings appear, and when to see it again. ON THE KANJI PAGE • Meanings, plus on'yomi / kun'yomi / nanori readings, color-coded by type • Radical classification and full component decomposition • Stroke-order diagrams, drawn stroke by stroke • Frequency rank, Heisig index, and grade level • The words and idioms the character appears in KANJI ATLAS A layered graph of how a character breaks down into radicals and graphemes — the reusable visual shapes underneath the writing system. Follow a kanji down to its parts, or a part up to every kanji built from it. WORDS, RADICALS, IDIOMS, GRAMMAR • 10,000+ compounds with per-character reading attribution — which kanji contributes which sound — plus word-formation type and Tokyo-dialect pitch-accent diagrams • All 214 Kangxi radicals, and the graphemes that recur across them • Yojijukugo, kanyōku, and kotowaza, shown literal meaning beside figurative • Grammar points: particles, verb forms, and conditionals SPACED REVIEW A hybrid FSRS-5 and SM-2 scheduler. Four card types per kanji — meaning recall, reading recall, kanji-from-meaning, kanji-from-reading. Study sessions, a review queue, mastery tracking, a streak, and an activity heatmap. Difficulty follows Japanese elementary-school grade levels, 1 through 6, plus S for secondary — the order a Japanese child actually learns them in. Built for adult self-learners who want the etymology, the component structure, and the reading attribution — the detail, laid out clearly, not simplified away. FREE AND PRO The full dictionary is free to browse, along with Grade 1 lessons — enough to test the workflow before you commit. Pro opens the rest: spaced review across every grade, the complete study queue, and the full Atlas for grades 2–6 and S.
