Store description excerpt

Stuck on "what should I draw today?" Mirukaku is a 10-15 minute drawing practice for iPad. It picks the subject and the angle for you, so you can start drawing the moment you open it. Miru (見る) means "to see" in Japanese. You draw from a 3D object on screen, against the clock — warm-up drills to loosen your hand, fast sketches to catch the shape, then one longer drawing that goes all the way to shading. A session fits in about ten minutes. ■ One session 1. Warm-up — lines, ellipses, symmetry drills. No timer 2. Fast pass — 45 seconds per drawing. No detail; just the shape 3. Slow pass — 4 minutes per drawing. Take your time and work in the shading Drill count and drawing count are both adjustable. Wrap up in five minutes, or spend thirty. ■ Never wonder what to draw ・21 subjects, from a square and a circle up to cubes, cylinders, polyhedra, compound solids and head models ・The same solid comes back at a different angle and a different perspective every time, so you are never tracing a shape you memorised ・You choose which subjects appear. Cubes only, over and over, is a perfectly good way to use this ■ Stay oriented while you draw ・Four ways to see the subject: silhouette to block in, flat shading to read orientation, full shading for tone, texture for surface ・Your choice carries over to the next drawing ・Cross contours show where the depth actually runs, as if the solid were sliced ・Grid, horizon and vanishing-point guides. Drag with a finger to rotate ・Tap Overlay to lay the reference solid over your own drawing and see exactly where it drifted ・Pressure and tilt with Apple Pencil ■ What you keep ・Every drawing lands on a dated timeline, with your streak and running total ・Trophies accumulate as you keep going. Breaking a streak never takes back one you earned ・Retry redraws a past subject at the same angle and orientation, so you can put the two side by side ・Each session collapses into a single image you can save to Photos or share ・Export as PNG from the Files app and keep working in another app ■ About the warm-up 37 drills across seven categories: lines, curves, circles and ellipses, boxes, symmetry, hatching and texture. Some you trace, some you copy from a model, and some hide the answer and ask you to complete the symmetry yourself. ■ Price and ads Free, with ads. Watch one rewarded video for a Focus Pass and the ads stay away for 24 hours. There are no in-app purchases. ■ What you need ・An iPad running iPadOS 17.0 or later ・Apple Pencil (not required — a finger works, but pressure and tilt make it easier)
