Become the boss of MineTech Island, a floating Lithium deposit ready for you to mine. As you extract Lithium you can use it to buy equipment, upgrade your technology, and employ specialist engineers. Making purchases will increase the productivity of your operation, by extracting Lithium autonomously and improving your personal mining efficiency. Progressing through the store will help you learn about cutting-edge innovations in the mining industry that are enabling more sustainable mining operations. Throughout the journey you will have the opportunity to invest in research with UNSW to improve technologies and partner with NASA to begin your space mining career. The goal is to gain enough experience, technology and resources to launch your own colony rocket to Mars. See who can get there the fastest! This experience was developed for the School of Minerals and Energy Resources Engineering at the University of New South Wales, as a fun way to educate people about the high-tech nature of the profession and the innovations occurring within it.
