Just keep these key differences in mind: ■ Card Composition 52 playing cards + 1 Joker (53 cards total) Terminal/Honor equivalents (Yaochu-hai): A, J, Q, K (*10 is not included) Simple equivalents (Chunchan-hai): 2 to 10 ■ Winning Hand Structure A winning hand consists of exactly 8 cards (starting hand of 7 + 1 drawn card) making 2 Melds and 1 Pair. ■ Original Meld8 Rules Calling (Pon/Chii) is limited to once per player per round. The Joker is a handy wild card, but it cannot be used for calls or pairs, and using it reduces your hand value by 1 Han. The Dora indicator is the dealer's first discard. The next sequential number becomes the Dora. Sequence Bonus: Building a Sequence (Chii/Straight) from your own hand grants a +1 Han bonus per sequence (max +2 Han). ■ Super Simple Scoring No complicated Fu calculations!
