You went to that restaurant a year ago. You know you liked something there — you just can't remember what. Was it the shakshuka or the lamb? Wasn't one of the dishes far too spicy? So you order blind again, in a place you'd already figured out once. MealSpec is the small notebook that fixes this. AFTER THE MEAL, JOT IT DOWN Write a line or two while it's fresh: "the shakshuka was great", "lamb skewers — ask for less spicy next time". Each restaurant gets one general note for your overall impression, plus as many short notes as you like for individual dishes. No star ratings to agonise over, no forms to fill in. Just what you'd tell a friend. ADD A PLACE IN SECONDS MealSpec finds the restaurants around you, so most of the time you simply tap the one you're sitting in. If it isn't listed, type the details yourself and the app works out where it is. FIND IT AGAIN LATER Your restaurants open on a map centred on where you are, so the place you half-remember from last summer is easy to spot. Switch to a list sorted by distance, search by name, or filter down to just the places you've been to. YOURS, UNLESS YOU SAY OTHERWISE Every note carries its own privacy setting. Keep it private, share it with friends you've connected with in the app, or make it public. There's no feed to perform for, no advertising, and nothing is shared anywhere else. Notes default to friends-only, and you can change any note's visibility whenever you like. COMPARE NOTES WITH PEOPLE YOU TRUST Connect with friends and see what they thought of the same places. You choose what they can see, and they choose what you can see. MealSpec is a notebook, not a review site. It's for the things you'd never post publicly but always wish you could remember.
