Store description excerpt
Decide what's for dinner once a week instead of once a night. Meal Planner turns the recipes you already cook into a weekly menu and a grocery list that has already done the arithmetic. Put your recipes in one place, drop them onto the days you want them, and walk into the store with a list where the garlic from three different recipes is one line — minus whatever is already sitting in your pantry. YOUR RECIPE LIBRARY, NOT SOMEBODY ELSE'S This app does not hand you a catalog of stranger's food. It holds yours. Type a recipe in, paste a link from a recipe site, send a page from another app through the share sheet, or photograph a page of a cookbook and let the phone read the text off it. Every route lands in the same editable draft, so a page that won't parse still becomes a saved recipe in a few taps instead of a dead end. Search by name or by ingredient, tag what you like, keep favorites, add a cover photo. A WEEK OF DINNERS IN A FEW MINUTES The planner is a plain week: seven days, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tap a slot, pick a recipe, done. Pick a run of recipes and drop them across the empty slots at once, or repeat the week that already worked. Change the servings for one night without touching the recipe itself. Mark a night as leftovers and it stops asking you to buy anything for it. Flip back and forth between weeks as far as you like. A GROCERY LIST THAT DOES THE ARITHMETIC This is the part that saves the second trip. Two cloves of garlic in one recipe and one clove in another become three cloves on one line. A cup of milk and 250 ml of milk are added together. Quantities scale with the servings you set. Items are grouped the way you actually walk the store, and anything already in your pantry is taken off first — 500 g of flour needed with 200 g at home reads as 300 g. What cannot honestly be added is not added: a pinch of salt stays attached to the 5 g line as a note, never quietly counted as zero. Check items off one-handed while you shop, add anything else you remember, then send everything you bought into the pantry in one action. COOK IT WITHOUT PUTTING THE PHONE DOWN Open a recipe in cook mode and the screen stays awake, the current step stays highlighted, and tapping the ten minutes written into a step starts a ten-minute timer. Scale the servings up for guests and every quantity moves with it. Switch between metric and US measures and the numbers stay readable — 1 cup, not 0.9463 cups. ALSO IN HERE Scan a barcode to add to the pantry. Put expiration dates on what you store and get a reminder before it goes bad. Reorder the aisles to match the store you actually use. Type in prices for a running basket total. Export a recipe or a list as a PDF, or the week as a calendar file. Share a list as plain text. Get a reminder for tonight's cooking, or the night before for anything that needs to defrost. Save a full backup file and restore from it. 33 languages, right-to-left layouts, Dynamic Type and VoiceOver. ON THIS PHONE, AND
