Marko is a precision timing tool for sailors and navigators using a sextant. When taking a celestial sight you call "MARK" at the instant the observed body touches the horizon and you are satisfied with the alignment. To be precise you need the exact time. If you are alone on watch or signle handed Marko will freeze the time for you, so you can read and record it without mistakes. An error of 1 second of time in taking a sextant sight equates to a 0.25 nautical mile (approx. 1/4 mile) positional error. Features: Live UTC time displayed in large, readable digits Freeze time with the MARK button or by saying "MARK" Resume the live clock with the TIME button or by saying "TIME" Shows local time alongside UTC when a mark is taken Audible beep confirms each mark and release Fully offline voice recognition (Vosk) — works at sea without mobile data Screen stays on while the timer is active Minimal battery use — audio capture pauses when backgrounded Microphone is optional — the MARK button works without it No ads. No analytics. No data collection.
