Listening to a Qari for years helps, but it does not by itself make your recitation match his. Maqam shows you the difference in a clear way. Pick a reciter, recite the same ayah, and Maqam compares your voice to his on melody, pacing, pauses, and how you finish each phrase. You get a score out of 100, the spots where you drifted, and a practice plan built around those spots. HOW IT WORKS 1. Choose your Qari. 12 reciters, all 114 surahs, ayah-accurate audio. 2. Recite the same ayah. One take on your phone. No studio, no setup. 3. See both voices. Your line next to his, with the places you part ways marked. WHAT YOUR RESULTS SHOW • An overall similarity score from 0 to 100 • Four dimensions: Melody Shape, Pacing, Pauses & Holds, Ending Control • A pitch comparison of your take against the reference. Tap any moment to hear yourself from that point. • What to improve: up to five ranked moments, each with Reference and Mine playback plus a practice cue • A clear message when a take is unusable, instead of a misleading low score PRACTICE THAT REMEMBERS YOU • Your journey: a color-coded map of the surah you are working on, from Learning to Mastered, with a small daily goal and a streak that banks a shield after seven days • Your progress on this ayah: a sparkline of your scores and your fastest-improving dimension • Then vs Now: hear your first take against your latest on the same ayah • Smart Practice Hub: one screen for "what should I practice next," with plans that adapt to your last session • Qari Path: pick a favorite reciter and a surah, then work through it ayah by ayah RECITE ALONGSIDE A RECITER Recite together with a Qari, or take turns ayah by ayah, then listen back. Record audio or video, hide your face if you want, and export a split-screen session to share. These sessions are for practice and sharing. They are not scored.
