Hands that Care aims to document, contribute to making visible, and highlight the maternal care practices of women belonging to ethnic diversity and/or in situations of mobility living in the Ecuadorian South and the city of Guayaquil. This repository consists of images, sounds, texts, and textile art objects. This serves as a community space for interaction and sharing of care practices and experiences among mothers of diverse backgrounds. • Visualizes the diverse care practices and expressions of Kichwa, Shuar, and Afro-Ecuadorian women. • Explores diverse motherhoods through textile art, documentary, texts, photographs, and sound recordings. • Participates in the collective meeting space on care practices and builds emotional, cultural, and maternal support networks.
