Makeup & Read turns reading practice into a makeup salon. Every round starts with a sentence: "Put pink lipstick on her lips." Your child reads it, picks the right tool from the tray, picks the right colour, and paints the right spot on the girl's face. Read it correctly and the points are hers. Grab the wrong brush, or the right brush in the wrong colour, and the round says so and lets her try again. The reading is not decoration. The colour word decides the answer, the tool word decides the answer, and the place word decides the answer — there is no way to score by guessing. FIVE LEVELS Level 1 is one instruction. Level 5 is five in a row, held in her head. Levels open with points earned, never with money, and the girl in the chair changes as she climbs. A SHOP SHE EARNS She starts with lipstick, blush, eyeshadow and glitter, so there is a whole game on the first morning. Twenty more things to buy after that: mascara, lip gloss, eyeliner, a crown, six outfits and more — all of it paid for with points she read her way to. Nothing in this app costs real money. There are no coins to top up, nothing to unlock with a card, and no ads. ENGLISH AND ARABIC Every word of the game is written in both, right-to-left included. Switch in Settings; her progress comes with her. Tap the speaker and the instruction is read aloud in the language she is using. BUILT FOR A CHILD, AND FOR YOU No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads, no tracking of any kind. It works with the aeroplane in aeroplane mode.
