Store description excerpt
Track 3D print cost from a frozen quote through every failed reprint and actual closeout. Preserve the quote you made, record each successful and failed print attempt, and see exactly why the completed job differed before you quote comparable work again. FREEZE THE REAL QUOTE Build a quote from the inputs that matter in a working print shop: material quantity and unit cost, machine and electricity time, hands-on labor, packing, extras, seller fees and the amount you intend to charge. Import supported header facts from PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer or Bambu Studio G-code, or enter every source fact manually. Imported values remain provenance-labelled so you can distinguish file facts from your own assumptions. Review the complete cost profile and job inputs before freezing. Each freeze creates a numbered quote revision with its own timestamp and source snapshot. Later edits become a new revision instead of silently rewriting the baseline that the customer saw. A concise customer quote stays separate from the maker-only assumptions behind it. RECORD EVERY PRINT ATTEMPT Keep successful and failed attempts on one chronological timeline. For every attempt, record actual material grams, machine minutes and hands-on minutes. Failed attempts also carry a specific reason, such as adhesion, support, warping, filament, power or another maker-entered cause. This keeps reprint cost visible instead of hiding it inside a generic allowance. Attempts stay on one chronological timeline. If you delete an attempt by mistake, immediate Undo restores it. The job remains in progress until at least one successful attempt exists, so an unfinished or failed-only run cannot be mistaken for a completed order. CLOSE THE ACTUAL VARIANCE Create the actual closeout only after a quote is frozen and a successful attempt is recorded. Reconcile the finished job through five attributable rows: successful material, machine and electricity, successful labor, failed-attempt cost, and extras or fees. The signed rows reconcile exactly to actual total minus the frozen planned total. See the planned amount, actual amount and difference for each contributor. Record actual proceeds separately from internal cost so the closeout can show an observed job margin without altering the original quote. If a value was entered incorrectly, add a reasoned closeout correction as another numbered revision rather than replacing history. KEEP CUSTOMER AND MAKER OUTPUTS SEPARATE Share a clean customer quote that omits internal actuals, labor rates and shop assumptions. Keep a maker-only closeout PDF with the frozen baseline, attempt history, actual inputs and variance waterfall. Export stable CSV rows for your own analysis or bookkeeping workflow. Each export is generated from the selected revision, so the record you share matches what you reviewed. LEARN FROM CLOSED, COMPARABLE WORK Assign your own comparison group to jobs that genuinely belong together. Once at least three matching jobs are closed,
