Store description excerpt

Every board this app deals you can be finished. That is not a turn of phrase. Every board is laid out along a winning line of play, then checked against that line before it is dealt to you, using the same free-tile rule you play by. A board that cannot be cleared is never dealt. And before a build ships, the whole catalog is replayed to a full clear as part of the test suite. So when you are stuck, you are not beaten by a board that was never going to come out. Something is still open. It is built for the end of the day. A dark lacquer table, ivory tiles with the ink cut into the face, and Otto, an owl in round spectacles who looks up now and then when something has actually happened. He does not congratulate you and he does not run on a timer. Works with the phone in airplane mode There is no account, no sign-up, no email and no password. Nothing is downloaded to start a game, because every board is computed on the device from its number. Your saved games live on your phone and stay there. A board a day A new board arrives each day, and it is the same board for everyone playing that day. The last thirty days stay open and free, so a missed evening is not a lost one. Streaks are counted. Nobody is ranked. What is in it The full 144-tile set: three suits ranked one to nine, four winds, three dragons, four flowers, four seasons, with the traditional rule that any flower matches any flower and any season matches any season. Five board shapes: rectangle, octagon, diamond, hourglass, cross. Five tile styles: Classic, Pips, Ink, Slate Ink, Porcelain. Six tablecloths: jade baize, indigo linen, oxblood damask, slate flannel, sand cotton, black lacquer. How this is paid for, plainly Playing is free and it is never interrupted. Dealing a board and matching tiles has no ad in front of it, no timer, no lives, no currency and no daily limit. That is true for everyone, always. Hint, undo and shuffle are the convenience features, and they are what pays for the app. On the free tier each one costs a single short rewarded video, and that video only ever plays because you asked for a hint, an undo or a shuffle. There are no banners and no interstitials. Nothing appears between you and the board. A one-time $4.99 purchase removes the ad requirement permanently and makes hint, undo and shuffle instant and unlimited. It is not a subscription. It does not renew, expire, or quietly stop working. Shuffle is worth one more sentence, because most games are cagey about it: it rearranges the tiles you have left into an order that can still be finished. It is not a rescue. The board was always solvable. Privacy There is no account, so there is no profile to build. Handeware collects nothing about you and has no analytics in the app. The rewarded videos are served by Google, which may use an advertising identifier to choose and measure them. iOS asks your permission before that can happen, and declining changes nothing about the game: tile play, hints,
