Mahfazati tracks a personal investment portfolio and calculates its zakat on the hijri calendar — for the Muslim investor who wants a figure they can trust, not an estimate made in the last week of Ramadan. ZAKAT ON THE HIJRI CALENDAR • A separate hawl for each holding, not one hawl for the whole portfolio. • A zakatable ratio you set per holding — a fund is not a property. • The zakat rate and the length of the hawl are both adjustable; the due date is computed on the hijri calendar and shows how long is left. • Record what you have paid, and override any holding with a manual figure when you need to. • The app shows how it reached the number: tap "How is this computed?" and you see the formula, not just the result. YOUR PORTFOLIO • Portfolio value, capital and annualised return at a glance. • Portfolio trend on two lines: value, and performance alone with no deposits or withdrawals — so you know which one moved the number. • "Why did it move?" separates what you put in from what you earned, so a deposit is never counted as a gain. • Actual return and time-weighted annualised return (XIRR) from your own entries. • Allocation across asset classes, and return compared with the risk you recorded for each holding. DISTRIBUTIONS • Expected annual income and blended yield. • Expected distribution dates as you enter them, with a warning for anything behind schedule. • Record a distribution and where it went: reinvested, paid to your account, or directed into another holding. YOUR FILE IS YOURS • Import and export Excel at any time — one structure that both you and the app can read. • What you enter on the phone is stored in the iCloud container of your own Apple account, not in an account with us. • Close a year, transfer between holdings, close a holding and reopen it. MANUAL ENTRY — STATED PLAINLY The app does not connect to a broker and does not fetch live prices. You enter your values and movements, and it does the arithmetic. This is a choice, not a gap: a portfolio holding private funds, crowdfunding and property cannot be read automatically from any platform.
