Lume Radio plays 45,000+ live stations from around the world, and never interrupts one with an advert of its own — there is no advertising SDK in the app at all. Tap a station and it plays. Nothing to sign up for, nothing to dismiss. WHY LUME IS DIFFERENT Most radio apps now play their own ads over the stream, or hold features behind a subscription. Lume does neither, and isn't built to. There is no ad network, no paywall, no free trial, and no premium tier. One honest note: stations broadcast their own commercials, the same ones you would hear on a radio set. That is the broadcaster, not us. Lume never adds any of its own. WHAT YOU GET • 45,000+ live stations from around the world • Browse by country or genre, or search by name • Favourites, kept on your device and one tap from the home screen • Background playback with lock screen controls • Now-playing track info wherever the station provides it • Automatic reconnection when your network changes • Light and dark themes BUILT FOR RELIABILITY Dead streams are the single biggest complaint in every radio app. Lume Radio handles them properly. When a stream fails it retries three times, tells you exactly which station is unavailable, and offers the next best station in the same country or genre. Stations that repeatedly fail get demoted so you stop running into them. Your favourites and station list are cached on the device, so the app opens and plays without waiting on the network. NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-UP There is no account and nothing to register. Your favourites and recently played stations are stored on your device. Lume Radio does collect anonymous usage statistics — which stations get played, whether streams connect, which features get used — so we can fix what breaks, and these are shared with our analytics provider. They are not linked to your identity, not sold, and not used to track you across other apps or websites. Searches are counted, never their text. Your country is detected from your device's language settings, so the app never asks for location access. STATION DATA Station information is provided by the radio-browser.info community database. Lume Radio streams audio directly from each broadcaster and does not host, record, or store any audio. WHAT LUME RADIO DOESN'T DO There is no recording, no download, and no timeshift — deliberately, and permanently.
