Checkers is played on an 8×8 board with each player starting with 12 pieces placed on the dark squares of the first three rows closest to them. ******* Nine Men's Morris ******* Nine Men's Morris is an abstract strategy board game that is played on a board with three concentric squares connected by lines at the midpoints of their sides and at the center, creating 24 intersection points where pieces can be placed. Each player has nine pieces, or 'men', and the goal is to form 'mills'—alignments of three pieces in a row, allowing the removal of an opponent's piece. The game proceeds in three phases: placing pieces onto the board, moving pieces to adjacent points, and moving pieces to any vacant point. A player wins by reducing the opponent to two pieces, making it impossible to form mills, or by blocking all possible moves. Nine Men's Morris is known for its deep strategy, despite its simple rules.
