Lows has also recently expanded to its second site in Berryden Business Park - Aberdeen [Next to Sainsburys] The business was established 30 years ago by Clifford Low who had been managing director of the Ashvale and had spent his entire life in the fish industry. 17 years ago the business was taken over by Clifford's son, David Low. 2 years ago, Alex Walker took a directorship in the business in Berryden. Low's Traditional Fish & Chips has received numerous awards : Best Fish & Chip Shop in Scotland 2019 Top 10 Fish & Chip Shop in the UK 2019 Best Young Fish Frier in Scotland 2019 National Federation of Fish Friers Quality Award (2016 - 2020) Seafish Fryers 5 Star Quality Award (2013 - 2015) Scottish Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Runner Up (2014) Eat Safe Award (you cannot apply for this but it is given by the food standard agency for very high standards in food hygiene) Lows Traditional Fish and Chips sponsors the table tennis academy at Aberdeen sports village and has donated £7000 in the last 2 years. This provides coaching 4 nights a week for 6-14 year olds.
