Store description excerpt

Low Oxalate is a food tracker for people reducing dietary oxalate. Every other oxalate app is a food list. You look up a food, get a verdict, and close it. None of them tell you how much you have actually had today. This one counts. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT - Soluble and insoluble oxalate split on every food. Soluble is the fraction that crosses the gut wall and ends up in your urine. Most charts give one number, which is why two foods with the same total can behave differently. - Cooking method changes the number. Boiling leaches soluble oxalate into the water. Steaming does less. Baking removes none at all. A baked potato with skin reads 168 mg; boiled and peeled it reads 13. Every entry carries a preparation method. - Calcium pairing, checked meal by meal. Calcium binds oxalate in your gut so it leaves in stool instead of urine — but only if they arrive together. A glass of milk at breakfast does nothing for the spinach at dinner. The app flags meals that carry oxalate with no calcium alongside. WHAT'S IN IT - 199 foods with total oxalate, soluble fraction, calcium and energy - Unlimited daily logging against a target you choose - Five protocols, from the clinical 100 mg standard to a stricter 50 mg - 12 recipes and 3 seven-day meal plans, each costed for oxalate and calcium - A symptom journal with change markers, because responses can lag by weeks - Home screen and lock screen widgets - Optional iCloud sync through your own private account - Custom foods, custom recipes, CSV and JSON export PRIVACY No account. No server. No analytics. No ads. With sync off the app makes no network requests at all and works entirely offline. IMPORTANT This is a food-logging tool, not medical advice. Reducing dietary oxalate is standard practice for calcium oxalate kidney stones. The broader claims about oxalate and inflammation are not established. This app does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease. Oxalate content varies by cultivar, soil and preparation — treat every figure as a band, not a measurement. If you form kidney stones, work with a urologist; a 24-hour urine test tells you more than any app can.
