Each location has three layers of content: a brief introduction as you arrive, a full historical narrative when you want to go deeper, and a research archive for those who want to know everything. Read or listen — at every level. The Puret Family Lorg introduces a new way to experience history: through the eyes of people who were actually there. The Puret family is a reconstructed family spanning Roman Saintes to the modern era — river labourers, market sellers, coopers, domestic servants and revolutionaries who lived in the city across twenty centuries. At each historic location, you can read their first-person perspectives: what this place meant to them, what they saw here, what they knew and what they couldn’t have known. Ask them questions. The AI-powered Ask feature lets you speak directly to Martin de Pugo, Jeanne, Marguerite, Pierre or Antoine — each responds in character, in their own voice, drawing on their biography, their era and their relationship to the place you are standing in. A living historical record Each city in Lorg is organised into historical epochs — the chapters of a city’s story from its earliest origins to the present day. Explore the timeline of events that shaped each era. Read the biographies of the remarkable people who lived and worked here. Discover the locations connected to their lives. Every day, Lorg highlights a moment in history that happened on this date — connecting the calendar to the city. Historical map overlays Place historical maps directly over the modern street plan and see how the city has changed across the centuries. Navigate by the streets as they were, while standing in the streets as they are. Notable people Every Lorg city features a gallery of notable people — the individuals who made the city what it is. Historians, rebels, artists, soldiers, mayors, martyrs. Their portraits, biographies and the places connected to their lives are woven into the fabric of the guide. Your own family history Lorg works alongside Heritage Compass, the genealogy app from Siorai Labs.
