Every message you have sent and received is already on this Mac. Loose Ends reads all of it in one pass and hands you a receipt: how many messages it read, how many it decoded, and exactly how many it could not. That receipt is the point. An export you cannot check is an export you have to trust. EXPORT WHAT YOU ACTUALLY HAVE • PDF, CSV, TXT or HTML • One person, one conversation, a date range, or the results of a search • The completeness receipt travels with the export, so nothing is quietly dropped • Most messages are not stored as plain text on disk. Loose Ends decodes them and counts what it read FIND ANYTHING YOU SAID • Full text search across every message and every year • Related words are searched alongside your query, so "dinner" also finds brunch, lunch and supper • Ask a question in your own words and get an answer drawn only from your own archive, never invented. Requires macOS 26 PICK UP WHAT YOU DROPPED • Today collects the questions you never answered, the promises you made, the promises made to you, and the plans that never got a date • Mark done, snooze, dismiss, or open a reply in Messages with nothing written in it • Reconnect ranks the people you had a real back and forth with and have not spoken to in months SEE THE SHAPE OF A RELATIONSHIP • Every person gets a page: first and last message, counts each way, who starts, how fast each of you replies • Group threads you share open in place, with a name on every bubble • Wrapped turns a year of your messages into something you can read in a minute YOUR MESSAGES STAY HERE • Your messages never leave this Mac.
