You're a young honu, a juvenile sea turtle with one instinct: keep going. Scramble down the beach, thread the crashing shore break, and strike out across open water for the next island, while the whole reef hunts you. Little Honu is a retro pixel-art survival run. Every level is a CROSSING: you leave one beach and haul out on another, passing warm sand, the shallows, the reef and the wide-open blue. The longer crossings island-hop: brief sand to catch your breath before the next stretch of deep water. There's no level cap, and every crossing gets longer and meaner than the last. SURVIVE THE REEF • Read the hunters. Crabs snap from the sand and their hatchlings swarm out of it, seabirds dive from above, blacktips, tiger sharks and hammerheads prowl the deep, giant trevally patrol the reef edge, an octopus waits in the rocks, and a monk seal runs down anything in open water. • Each predator hunts differently. Learn the tells, time your move, and slip past. • Mind the seafloor too. Rocks block your path and eels strike from their lairs, and a turtle pinned in the open is a turtle that gets caught. COME UP FOR AIR • Your honu breathes. It surfaces on its own, and the bubbles trailing off its head are the only air meter you get: one bubble is plenty, a stream means it's going up now. • Ghost fishing nets drift across the open water. Swimming under one is safe. Needing a breath under one is not. • Clear the mesh before that held breath runs out — or spend a shield and tear the net open for good. GRAB EVERYTHING • Collect shells, starfish, pearls and glass floats for score. • Snack on red seaweed, sea lettuce and sea grapes to keep your energy up for the next sprint. • Bank boosters: a speed burst, an ink cloud to vanish from predators, a shell shield, and an air bubble to shove danger away. DASH OR GET CAUGHT • A one-tap dash gives you a burst of speed when a predator commits. Dodge the strike, then keep swimming. • Get grabbed and you lose a life; run out and it's back to the beach. • Two ways to play. Normal is the standard adventure, with the boosters you bought and every perk you've earned. HARD is a one-life hardcore run where nothing carries in: no bought boosters, no earned perks. You power up inside the run or not at all. NO ADS, NO TRACKING • Little Honu shows no advertising of any kind, to anyone. There is no third-party code in the app at all, nothing tracks you, and nothing is collected about you or your child. • Every level is free. No level gates, no level cap, no interruptions. • One optional unlock opens Hard difficulty and turns on turtle leveling. • Booster packs are sold separately if you want a bigger kit. They are barred from Hard, so the hardcore board is earned, never bought.
