Lingo teaches 31 languages in short lessons, and every lesson includes speaking practice. Bruno, a dachshund, is the guide. SPEAKING PRACTICE IN EVERY CHAPTER Tap the mic, say the sentence, and the app checks it as soon as you pause — there is no button to press. Any chapter in the word list can be run as a hands-free drill: each word is spoken aloud, then you repeat it. The strictness of the check is adjustable between Relaxed, Normal and Strict. MISTAKES REPEAT INSTEAD OF COSTING YOU The app has no lives or energy system. A word answered wrong returns later in the same lesson, and comes first in the next practice round. NATURAL SPEECH Words and sentences are spoken with neural text-to-speech rather than a robotic synthesiser. Speakers alternate, so your ear gets used to real variety. 31 LANGUAGES Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Greek, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, Thai, Indonesian, Hindi, Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, Filipino, Armenian and Latin. Each course contains up to 40 chapters of vocabulary and everyday sentences. There are also two English courses, written specifically for Spanish and German speakers. TUTOR CLIPS Short clips from a native-speaking tutor open the first chapters in Spanish, German, French and Italian. ALSO INCLUDED • Flashcards ordered by which words you know least well • AI practice rounds built only from vocabulary you have already met • An explanation of why an answer was wrong • Instant translation of a phrase you type or say • Interface in English, German, Spanish, French, Ukrainian, Russian and Arabic, with lessons explained in your own language • Streaks, coins and a Rest Day that covers a missed day • Dark mode and adjustable text colour • No advertising NO ACCOUNT The app has no sign-up. Progress is stored on the device and can be erased from the profile screen. Some text and all spoken audio is generated by AI and can occasionally be inaccurate.
