Store description excerpt
"How realistic is owning a home in Tokyo? Could I afford one if I moved to the countryside?" Life Map - Plan Where to Live is a financial education life simulator that visualizes where you can afford to live on the map of Japan, by your savings. ■ How It Plays You're 18, with until age 70 to find your home. Tick through life month by month: salary, rent, side jobs, marriage, kids, mortgage. Pick from 9 dream packages (Tokyo high-rise, Kyoto townhouse, Karuizawa villa, Okinawa resort, hometown house) and find your smartest route on real Japanese data. ■ Japan Map & Market - 52 areas (47 prefectures plus Minato, Karuizawa, Niseko, parents' home). Rent, living costs, and income vary by prefectural-capital references - Pins show what you can buy now, reach soon, or can't reach - Tap any area for rent (single / family), living cost, expected income, relocation cost ■ Time & Life Events - 1 real-world day = 1 in-game month. Time advances even when closed; catches up on relaunch - 24+ life events: side gig, job offer, marriage, illness, bonus, childbirth, layoff, NISA, market crash, promotion, car purchase, early repayment, and more - Health and family relations (0-100) drive mechanics: low health raises illness odds and cuts income; low family makes marriage and kids less likely ■ Money & Housing - Decouple workplace and residence: "Tokyo salary, countryside life" - Moving costs scale with rent (deposit + key money, 6 months): Minato 720K, Tokyo 480K, regional ~300K (JPY) - Home loan modeled after Flat 35 (1.8%/yr fixed, 35-year term); repayment ratio over 25% shows a warning - After buying, HOA fees, property tax, and education costs hit your cash flow ■ Dashboard - One screen: savings, income, age, health, family, location, cash flow, where to move next - 3-mode toggle (full / compact / hidden) for a wider map; state persists - "What might happen next" forecast hints at upcoming events - 12 achievement badges ■ Onboarding & Endings - 6 preset lives plus a fully custom setup - 5-step first-run tutorial (replayable from Settings) - Mortgage-paid-off celebration - 5-tier final grade (S / A / B / C / D) at age 70, scored on savings, mortgage status, health, and family, each with a title from "Living the Dream" to "A Life to Restart" ■ Daily Habit (build financial literacy little by little) - "Today's Money Quiz": one question a day on mortgages, NISA, insurance, taxes, markets, and budgeting. Answering advances one in-game month; correct answers earn a bonus - Morning / noon / evening touchpoints: the quiz, an economy news tidbit, and a recap (balance, assets, goal). Build a login streak; clear all three for a full-combo bonus - A daily "Today's Happening" surprise event at launch - Quiz and news content comes from a server (Firebase), so new questions arrive without an app update; works offline with bundled data too - Gentle daily notifications with today's lesson ■ Monetization - Free to download and play - Banner ad at the bottom of the dashb
