Your library filled up over years. It won't empty in one evening - and it doesn't have to. LessMess breaks the work into stretches you can actually finish. Pick a day, a week, a month or a year, and go through only that period. Stop because you're done, not because you're worn out. Progress is saved after every decision. Step away halfway, get interrupted, close the app — nothing is lost and you don't start over. HOW IT WORKS Swipe right to keep. Swipe left to mark for deletion. Every frame shows its date, resolution and file size, so you know what you're deciding about. Not sure? Open it full screen at full resolution. SIMILAR SHOTS, SIDE BY SIDE The app finds visually close frames and groups them into a series. Eight angles of the same thing, taken one after another, come up together — picking the best of them is far easier than judging each one alone. The scan runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework. You can stop it at any time, and it is never required. THREE SECTIONS Photos — shots from the period you choose, with similar frames grouped. Screenshots — they build up fastest and clear out quickest, so they get their own section. Videos - a grid, largest first. A handful of clips usually holds more space than every photo you own. DELETION HAPPENS WHEN YOU SAY SO Swiping deletes nothing. Marked items collect in a basket, and any decision can be undone. Deletion happens once per session, on your button and iOS's own confirmation prompt. Deleted files go to Recently Deleted in the Photos app, where iOS keeps them for 30 days. Nothing you decide today becomes permanent today. EVERYTHING STAYS ON THE DEVICE There is no network code in the app. No server, no account, no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising, no third-party libraries — only Apple's own frameworks. Your photos are never uploaded or copied anywhere. Originals that live in iCloud are deliberately not downloaded: every request to the photo library runs with network access switched off. If an original exists only in the cloud, the app says so and works with the local preview instead. Location data is never read or stored. The app asks for one permission: access to your photo library. No location, no contacts, no camera, no microphone, no notifications. ONE PURCHASE Once. No subscription, no weekly charge, no waiting timer between sessions, and no advert to sit through before you're allowed to delete your own files.
