This application is a single-player pattern recognition challenge built around the natural science concept of autotomy, the remarkable survival behavior where creatures voluntarily shed limbs, tails, or claws to escape danger. Players engage in a sequential recall exercise where animal-themed illustrated tiles are displayed on screen, illuminated one by one in a specific order, and must then be tapped back in the exact same sequence from recall alone. The experience is structured across progressive levels with three distinct difficulty tiers. The gentlest tier presents fewer tiles and shorter sequences at a relaxed pace, suitable for casual sessions. The moderate tier increases both the number of tiles and the length of sequences with balanced timing. The most demanding tier features the largest tile grids, longest chains, and fastest illumination intervals, designed for those seeking a rigorous cognitive workout. Each level grants three attempts before the session concludes. Before the illumination phase begins, all tiles are revealed face-up with a visible countdown so players can study the full board. Once the countdown expires, tiles illuminate sequentially, and players must observe carefully because the same tile may appear multiple times within a single sequence. After illumination completes, the input phase begins and players tap tiles to reproduce the pattern. Correct completion advances to the next level with increased complexity. The application includes a comprehensive achievement system with twelve distinct badges earned through milestones such as completing first rounds, reaching specific levels across each tier, building consecutive win streaks, accumulating lifetime scores, and playing across all difficulty modes. A detailed session history log records every completed game with the difficulty played, highest level reached, total score earned, and duration elapsed. Lifetime statistics aggregate total games played, highest scores achieved, longest streaks recorded, total tiles matched correctly, and cumulative play time across all sessions. All progress and records persist locally on the device between sessions. The visual design draws from woodland and natural earth tones reflecting the organic theme of creature survival and regeneration, with warm greens, golds, ambers, and creams throughout the interface. Animated transitions, glowing highlights during illumination, and responsive tap feedback create a polished interactive experience. An informational section provides educational content about autotomy in the animal kingdom, covering species such as lizards, starfish, octopuses, crabs, and sea cucumbers, along with gameplay tips and strategy guidance.
