The embryo of the Jasa Tunas Mandiri Cooperative started from the production unit of the accounting department at Singkut Muhammadiyah Vocational School with the name Bank Mini Tunas Mandiri which was founded in April 2015. At the beginning of 2021, the school gathered the community and Muhammadiyah figures in Sarolangun district to express their desire to expand the production unit. This became a financial institution in the form of a savings and loan cooperative, and the proposal was approved, then a cooperative model in the form of KSPPS was agreed. So KSPPS Tunas Mandiri operations began in March 2021, where it is still not yet a legal entity. Furthermore, through the mandate of the 1st RAT in March 2022, the Management was asked to immediately take care of the Legal Entity that oversees the Cooperative, so the Cooperative Notarial Deed No.01 dated 01 July 2022 was issued through Notary Suprihatin, and received ratification of the Ministry of Law and Defense Deed dated 05 July 2022 number AHU-0003573.AH.01.29.Year 2022 with the name Tunas Mandiri Services Cooperative SMKS Muhammadiyah. In name, this cooperative does not bear the name Sharia, but in its operational activities and financial records, it adheres to a sharia system in the form of KSPPS.
