Store description excerpt

Knock puts one person on your Home Screen. Their face sits among your apps, and you can see at a glance whether they're free and what time it is where they are. Tap it, and their phone buzzes once. That's the whole message: I was thinking of you. No feed, no inbox, no history. A knock happens and is gone. The only thing Knock keeps is how many days you have both shown up. NEW IN 1.2 Leave a note. A few words on their face, alive for one, five or fifteen minutes, then gone from both phones. Or mark it "when seen", and it waits, unread, until they have actually looked at it, and leaves five seconds later. The knock clock. A small dial of the hours at which the two of you knock, each drawn in your own local time, so you can see where your days touch. Counts only, never times, never dates, and nothing that counts up at anyone. Open to a call? When you have both knocked within the last half hour, Knock asks. Two yeses, and one tap opens FaceTime. Siri. Say "Knock Léa" and the knock goes out without opening the app. The card. Share a picture of your knock clock, with your two faces on it and not a single number. Also: a mute that really mutes, and one recall a day of a note that expired while you were away. WHAT IT HAS ALWAYS DONE A longer knock says more, not louder. Keep your finger down and the words change; their widget stays lit for longer, in your colour. Their phone still buzzes exactly once, however long you hold. Behind their face, leave an emoji or a drawing. It shows on their Home Screen, fades within a day, and is then deleted from both phones. No album, no history. Set your status from five, and it clears itself. Set your quiet hours, and a knock inside them arrives silently; their face still lights up on your widget for when you look. One grace day a month, so a single missed day does not undo the days you have both shown up. PRIVATE BY CONSTRUCTION Encrypted end to end. Names, faces, statuses, notes and drawings are scrambled on your phone with a key only you and your person hold. Nobody else can read them, not even us. No accounts. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to close. Nobody can add you unless you say yes, there is no directory and no suggestions, and the only way in is a code someone hands you. No ads, no tracking, and no third-party code of any kind. WHAT IT COSTS Free for one person, with everything that matters. One payment, once, for up to eight people, every emoji, and the app icon in your colour. No subscription. Knock is made by one person. It is small on purpose, and nothing in it is built to keep you here.
