Store description excerpt

Your berth sits empty while you are out sailing. And somewhere nearby, a visiting sailor is looking for somewhere to tie up. Klamp is the digital version of the green/red plate. Flip your klamp as you cast off — others can see the berth is free, and you come home to a harbour that is alive. HOW IT WORKS Flip the klamp One tap as you sail out. Say when you are back, so the guest knows exactly how long the berth holds. If your plans change, the change lands straight away — on the chart, in the harbour and on the berth. Find a berth Free berths glow green on the map. No booking, no fee — you moor on trust, the way sailors always have. You have to be at the berth to take it, so first come, first served means actually coming first. The sign ties it together Print the QR sticker from the app and fix it to the mooring post. Anyone walking past can scan it and see at once whether the berth is free — even without Klamp. ON THE WATER Depth lies in soft contours beneath the boat, and when you plot a route you are told the shallowest measured point on every leg before you sail. Drop the anchor and sleep. The anchor watch remembers where the anchor went down and wakes you with an alarm of its own if the boat drifts out of the circle. And if you are ever unsure what a buoy is telling you, the seamarks are explained in the app's own reference book. And if someone goes overboard, one tap saves the point from the phone's GPS and shows the course back — the coordinate is laid out to be read aloud on VHF. Klamp does not place calls: channel 16 and 112 are the way to help. THE HARBOURS Over 10,000 harbours in 23 countries — from Norway and Finland to Portugal and Greece — with toilets, showers, power, water, fuel and a crane, where we know of them. Many carry a description gathered automatically from the harbour's own website; it always shows its source and date, so you can see where it came from. Save your favourites, keep your own notes, and let the app remember your recent searches. Your boat's dimensions are stored, so you are warned when a berth is too small — but we never hide it from you. Karma and klamps are the sailors' own way of saying thank you. And if you want the app to yourself, you can lock it with Face ID. Klamp speaks English, Danish and Swedish. KLAMP+ Wind drawn across the chart, so you can see what you are mooring into. Navigation with the instrument on the Lock Screen: speed, cross-track error and arrival time that keep telling the truth while the phone sits in your pocket. Watch the harbours you are heading for. Book ahead. And your own logbook with track, speed and distance. Weather on every harbour: a ten-day forecast, a tap on the day unfolds the hours. Your logbook follows you across your devices through your own iCloud — never through us. Keep two berths? Manage both from one account. 39 DKK/month or 249 DKK/year; the price in your currency is shown in the App Store. The subscription renews automatically until cancelled
