Store description excerpt
You are not clearing blocks. You are laying a tile panel. Kiln hands you an 8×8 wall and three pieces at a time. Every piece is cut from one of the world's ceramic traditions — İznik, azulejo, zellige, talavera and more. Line up any 2×2 square of a single style and it blooms: the four tiles fuse into one large ornament, score, and clear. HOW IT PLAYS • Harmony — every tile you lay scores, and same-style neighbours score more. Every single move gives you something back. • Bloom — any 2×2 of one style fuses into a medallion and clears the wall. • Masterpiece — build a 3×3 of one style and four blooms fire at once, plus a large bonus. Leave the middle open and plug it last. • Frieze — fill a whole row or column and it clears as a border band, worth about four times more when it is harmonious. • Chains and combos — every pattern one placement creates fires in sequence at a rising multiplier. • Commissions — the workshop always has an open order: three İznik blooms, two friezes, a masterpiece. The deadline is counted in moves, not seconds, so you can put the game down mid-order. • The kiln — ornament points heat it. Fill it and a new tradition joins your palette. THE REWARD IS THE DIFFICULTY No timers, no lives, no speed-ups, no shrinking board. Every tradition you unlock adds its palette to the pieces you are dealt, which makes matching 2×2s rarer. The game gets harder because you are getting richer. TILE ART, NOT COLORED BLOCKS Each tradition's ornament is drawn as a seamlessly tiling unit, so motifs run straight across the grout lines and four neighbouring corners meet as a secondary rosette — the way real azulejo and zellige panels behave. A bloom is not an effect pasted on top: it is the whole ornament assembling itself out of the tiles you laid. TRADITIONS TO COLLECT The styles you discover are kept between runs, and apart of them — the deep end of the palette is a longchase. Each one arrives with a plain sentence about where it comes from. The ornaments are original compositions drawn in the spirit of each tradition, using its characteristic geometryions of any particular historical panel.
