Store description excerpt
Kiek is a point and shoot with one stock. You frame, you press, and you get a developed photograph. Every frame is a single native Bayer RAW exposure. Kiek develops it through one recipe, kiek type 1, and saves the result as a HEIC. Apple's processing is off. No Deep Fusion, no Smart HDR, no multi-frame fusion. The negative is saved next to the photograph, every time. You never have to ask for it. The viewfinder is an eyepiece. It shows the world so you can frame, not the look. It is digital, so it gives you an exposure reference as well. What the stock does to a picture, you see in your camera roll. WHAT YOU CAN CHANGE Kiek meters and focuses on its own. Tap the picture to focus somewhere else. Hold to lock focus and exposure. The exposure dial clicks from one marked stop to the next. THE SHUTTER DOES NOT WAIT It re-arms as soon as the sensor is done. The develop runs behind it. A press that cannot be serviced is refused, not swallowed. If the engine cannot develop a frame, Apple's own graph does, and the file records which one ran. BOTH PICTURES ARE KEPT The developed HEIC and the raw DNG are saved together, on every frame. There is no setting for this. THE DARKROOM Open any frame from the roll and change its exposure, white balance and tint. Kiek develops it again from the negative, through the stock. It is not a filter on a finished print. Your original stays where it was and can be reverted in Photos. WHAT KIEK SENDS Nothing. No photograph and no data about you leaves the phone. There is no account. The only network Kiek uses is the App Store, to check the subscription. iOS 17 and later. Any iPhone that runs it. One week free, then $2.99 a month. It renews until you cancel it in the App Store. Terms of use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
