Hello and welcome to the Kempten Museum! Whether you are looking for the quickest way to the highlights of Kempten's 2000-year history or want to find out everything about the eleven themed rooms of the museum - our app is the right choice for you. Kathi and Dominik will take you on a guided audio tour through the exhibition. After your tour together, you can test your newly acquired knowledge in the quiz. If you have now acquired a taste for it, you can try your hand at being the ruler of medieval Kempten: can you manage to keep relations with the monastery, the security of the town, your town treasury, the satisfaction of the citizens and your reputation in balance by making smart decisions? Retelling over two millennia of the town's history - that is the core objective of the Kempten Museum in the Zumsteinhaus. The exhibition rooms on the ground floor provide a quick introduction to the history of Kempten and that of the Zumstein brothers' trading house - the fabric merchants once had the house built. A walk-through city map shows the most important sights of the city. Kempten is known as the oldest town in Germany to be mentioned in written records: If you are interested in the Roman Cambodunum, a special themed tour will take you to our oldest exhibits.
