Kanari keeps an eye on your elderly loved ones during heat waves, without intrusion or effort on their part. How it works: • Seniors receive simple reminders to drink regularly during periods of intense heat. • A "Need help" button is always accessible, even without an active subscription. • In case of prolonged silence, Kanari gently follows up: notification, SMS, then an automated check-in call if necessary. • If doubt persists, caregivers are immediately alerted to take over. • Medication reminders, in addition to hydration monitoring. For caregivers: • Real-time monitoring of the loved one's condition from the caregiver app. • Clear history of check-ins and notifications sent. Easy addition of other family members to share the monitoring. Kanari is a prevention and well-being tool, not a medical device: it never replaces emergency services. In case of emergency, always call 112. Health data (heart rate, hydration) is collected only with the explicit consent of the senior citizen, encrypted, and never sold. Kanari is designed and hosted in Belgium. Kanari can also be offered by a Public Social Welfare Centre (CPAS) or an organization that assists the elderly to support their beneficiaries during heat waves.
