Store description excerpt

Build real N4 vocabulary fast—with a clean, focused study loop designed by a government-certified Japanese teacher. 1,239 hand-curated words, fully offline, no ads, and a smart SRS that lets you concentrate on recall, not settings. WHY 1,239 WORDS (scope) • Core JLPT N4 coverage plus a carefully chosen set of practical, high-frequency words slightly beyond N4. This reflects how learners actually speak, read, and test: you meet N4, and you can operate just above it. WHY THIS APP • Teacher-made, end to end: selection, examples, pitch accent, and UX are crafted for efficient learning—not for engagement metrics. • Fully offline, ad-free, no tracking: attention stays on memory, not on pop-ups. • One clear workflow: tap Smart Start and study—no decision fatigue. WHAT’S INSIDE • 1,239 words: N4 core + practical beyond-N4 items that appear in daily life and beginner media. • Examples and Tokyo-style pitch accent so meaning and sound lock together. • Color-coded accuracy on each card to surface weak points at a glance. SMART START (recommended) • One tap runs both engines automatically: Due (SRS) → Practice (full-deck cycle). • If Due has items, they’re reviewed first; otherwise you go straight into Practice. HOW THE SRS WORKS (plain terms) • Only misses enter the Due queue; correct answers in Due extend the next interval. • Missed items reappear within 2–4 questions for immediate repair, then again via Due ~10 minutes later. • “Mark as Miss” lets you flag shaky “lucky” corrects so SRS stays honest. MODES • Practice: see each card once per cycle—fastest way to separate “can/can’t.” • Due (SRS): spaced review of problem items only. • Weak Point: prioritizes low-accuracy items—great before tests. • Evidence: re-tests low-exposure items to smooth lucky hits. • Fully Random: pure shuffle—use sparingly for variety. USEFUL TOGGLES • Furi (furigana) ON/OFF across quizzes and lists—balance readability and challenge. • EN reveal is kept out of the way to encourage active recall; show only when needed. DESIGN PHILOSOPHY • Maximum effect, minimal friction. The loop is simple: recall → check → quick repair → cycle again. • No streak pressure, paywalls, or gamified clutter—just the shortest path to memory. PRIVACY & DATA • All study history, SRS schedules, and preferences are stored on your device only. • No sign-in, no analytics, no third-party trackers. TIPS • Not sure where to start? Tap Smart Start and keep going. • When an answer felt lucky, use “Mark as Miss” to get a proper re-test later. • Try Furi ON for comfort, then OFF to self-test reading without hints. MADE BY A TEACHER Kazuhiro Aoyama (government-certified Japanese teacher; 10+ years, 1,000+ learners taught). The goal is simple: faster results with less noise. Support: See in-app Help → Guide for a quick walkthrough and reset instructions.
