A rough stone sits in the vise, proud of the shape it wants to be. Your only job is to find that shape. Jester Facets is a quiet puzzle about form — not colour, not speed, not luck. Behind every stone is a gold ghost outline: the finished silhouette. Drag a straight line across an edge and everything beyond that line falls away, one flat plane at a time, the way a real graver works. Bring the stone to 95% of the ghost before your strokes run out and the gem is yours. Land it exactly and the guild takes notice. No timers. No lives. No noise. A lamp, a blade, and a stone that will take the shape you give it. THE CUT • One stroke removes one flat plane — a true geometric cut, not a tap • A long stroke shears several facets at once: precise on a shoulder, ruinous across the girdle • A live preview shows exactly what a stroke will take before you commit to it • Every stroke is counted, and thrift pays better than brute force FIFTY STONES • Five workshop chapters, from Rough Stones to the Legendary Cut • Six finished silhouettes: hexagon, oval, marquise, pear, emerald cut and star • Five materials: emerald, sapphire, topaz, amethyst and diamond • Rougher stones, tighter tolerances and fewer spare strokes the deeper you go THE BENCH IS THE MENU Tap the vise to take a stone. The display case opens your gallery, the tool tray your mastery, the loupe the guild board, the ledger your records. There is no tab bar anywhere in the app. CRAFT MASTERY • Extra Cut — one more stroke of the graver on every stone • Precision Guide — the blade settles onto the true facet plane • Undo Charge — take back a stroke you regret All three are bought with polish dust, and dust is paid out for finishing under your cut allowance. THE VITRINE Every finished stone is catalogued with its match, its stroke count and its stars. Filter the case by silhouette, by material, or by perfect cuts only. Twelve bench records track the long work: first stroke, first perfect cut, every shape, every stone, the whole vault. QUIET BY DESIGN • Plays fully offline — nothing to sign in to, nothing to wait for • No ads, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no energy meters • Haptics, tool sounds and a low workshop drone, each switchable • Reduced motion and a waste overlay you can turn off for a calmer bench Cut true.
