Type characters on the board, then tap the play button to hear them read aloud. The controls are simple: tap to enter, tap to play, tap けす to erase. The app includes 80 kanji from the Japanese grade 1 curriculum. Audio works for multi-character words, too — for example, enter 森 and hear "mori," or enter 森林 and hear "shinrin." You can also change the display font in settings to match how children learn at school or at home. If you want an easy, hands-on way to meet Japanese kanji, this app is for you.
