TokeiTango is derived from the Japanese words 時計 tokei (watch/clock) and 単語 tango (word). It's a flashcard app for learning over 9,000 of the most common Japanese words - think of it as Anki for the Apple Watch. TokeiTango is built exclusively for the Apple Watch. Every screen and study session is designed for the small screen and a few spare seconds, so you can sneak in some Japanese while catching the train, waiting in line, or giving your raised arm a rest. Key features: - Spaced-repetition algorithm that repeats words you struggle with more often than ones you already know - Conjugations for verbs and adjectives - past, negative, て-form, and more, all spoken aloud - Grammar Patterns built from the words you're learning, like "a way of," "be able to," and "have to" - Example sentences for every word, written to use only vocabulary and grammar you've already learned - Audio pronunciation for every word and sentence - Choose how you learn - by JLPT level (easy to hard) or by word frequency (common to rare) - Bookmark words to look up later - Statistics and a 28-day activity view to track your progress - Watch face complications so you can learn a new word with a glance - Daily reminders to keep your streak going Romaji uses the Hepburn system, the clearest way to read Japanese with English letters.
