「ミニシティ」は、区画を置いて街が育つのを眺める、箱庭の街づくりゲームです。 住宅がいつまでも小さいままなら、たいてい近くに煙があります。工場と発電所は公害を出し、公害は土地の値打ちを下げ、値打ちの低い土地に大きな建物は建ちません。公園を敷けば煙を吸い、警察署を置けば犯罪が減り、値打ちは戻ります。街のなかでは、こうした数字がたえず互いを押し合っています。 置けるものは多くありません。道路、送電線、公園、住宅区、商業区、工業区、発電所、警察署、消防署。この9つをどこに置くかだけを決めて、あとは街が動くのを眺めます。
