RubiPon is a Safari extension that adds furigana (kana reading hints) to kanji on the Japanese web pages you visit — news sites, encyclopedias, official announcements, anything. FEATURES - One-tap furigana on any Japanese page, with an optional auto-on setting — live-updating pages (social feeds, live blogs) are supported too - Three dictionaries to choose from: the built-in system analyzer, the IPA dictionary, and the large-vocabulary Sudachi dictionary (with optional Core/Full downloads) - 600+ built-in reading-correction rules for dates, counter words and common idiomatic readings (e.g. 1月1日, 3階, 2泊3日, 二人) - A personal user dictionary for names and technical terms - Hiragana-first mode: kana becomes the main text with small kanji above — great for early readers - Romaji mode: show readings in romaji instead of hiragana — handy for beginning learners of Japanese - Fine display control (ruby size, line height, spacing), remembered per site (up to 100 sites) - Privacy by design: all analysis runs on your device. Nothing you browse is ever sent to any server. No ads, no tracking. HOW TO USE 1. Open the app and enable RubiPon in Settings > Safari > Extensions 2. Open a Japanese page and tap the extension icon in the address bar 3. Tap "Show furigana" Note: readings are generated automatically and may occasionally be wrong; correction rules and the user dictionary help you fix them. Network access is used only when downloading the optional Sudachi dictionaries.
