بطولة القلايل للمقناص تعتبر من أهم البطولات والأكثر إثارة وتشويق لممارسة حقيقة المقناص كواقع والتي تعكس مهارة القناص القطري في طرق الصيد التقليدية الموروثة والمعروفة في الثقافة العربية والقطرية والتي تعتبر ارث عريق ومتجذر في هوية الحياة القطرية وما عرف عن أهل قطر بحبهم وشغفهم لهذه الهواية التي تعتبر علامة بارزة في الثقافة القطرية. تتطلب البطولة تسجيلًا للفرق المشاركة ويجب أن يحتوي كل فريق على عدد 7 أعضاء بحد أدنى مع إمكانية إضافة عدد 2 أعضاء من دول مجلس التعاون الخليجي.
