本會籌創起始於民國76年間，創會理事長張榮次先生等感於建築同業肩負協力開發大高雄建設使命感，復受當時各縣市建築投資商業同業公會均已次第成立，本縣尚付闕如催生，由是引發籌組動機，遂積極展開籌組序幕。翌年6月，由仲傑、大立、和旺、高築、明圍、國城、昶亨、豐勝等8家建設公司共同發起，並於當月25日假圓山飯店成立籌備委員會，推介張榮次、張隆基、蘇勝明、蘇慶、簡春肇、洪平森、江亞文、黃正德等8位同業先進為籌備委員負責籌備創會事宜。
