Born into the Reddy clan and named Vemanayogi, Vemareddy saw many twists and turns in his life. With aversion to life on the brink of hardship, with the help of Vadine, with the teachings of Shivayogi, he was inspired to know the truth and taught the knowledge he had acquired in verse. All his poems are in simple style. Each verse appears to be uttered externally. Thus many would think that Vemana said much of the worldliness in his poems. In fact in his verses there is nothing about righteousness and justice except knowledge. Vemanaye Swayamuga said that everything I said was wisdom. Those who do not understand wisdom compare his verses with a thousand different meanings. Vemana Yogi is the best yogi born on earth. It is safe to say that he was not promoted as the master of all, and that he was not seen as the greatest yogi of all. Those who embody the greater part in lesser writing are more appreciative than those who compose lesser sense in larger works. It is safe to say that Vemana was the only one who embodied very large sentiments in short verses. Vemana is the one who hid in the verses the wisdom of the divinity he knew in his life. The mystery of his verses will not be revealed as long as he reads them carefully. Only when he thinks will he understand the verse. Knowing that not everyone has the power to understand his verses, Vemareddy called some young men of his caste at his last days and told them all the secrets of his verse and that all my life was over. There were no vehicles in those days to travel. So Vemana went to the villages with a good horse suitable for the journey and went down to the inn there and told the people of the village that Vemareddy had come and that Dandora was frying and that everyone should come to him in the evening and teach him the knowledge of his verses. He went on to say that the campaign was only for the unmarried as it would not be favorable to the unmarried. But what did the self-styled Reddy clan do to Vemana when there were so many and so many rich and famous celebrities? Even those who do not know who the real Vemanayogi is belong to the Reddy caste. The whereabouts of Vemana's tomb are unknown. What have we done to Vemanayogi during the week without fulfilling his aspirations? In fact he did more for us.
